Poetry and Art by Jessy Randall
thud
the famous vworp-vworp
whoosh
cyclic wheezing
roar / hiss / groan / grind
warble
electronic blobs
heavily modulated throbs
judders / pops / bleeps
a hospital’s rogue ventilator with a slight touch of hay fever
buzz
jangle
piercing electronic screams
prolonged zaps
huge crash
(source: published and unpublished descriptions of the sound of Doctor Who’s TARDIS)
