Poetry by Eddie Donoghue ∂ Art by Sohini Ghosh Dastidar
bulls wild rush colors
eliciting a mutual grace,
one that soothes
various relations to fear
symbiotic rivals blood-close
valediction in each movement,
the direct relationship
of thrill and fatigue,
those moments when the
ossuary stage opens—
the long dried sweat
and bones of suerte de matar
are quick to offer a flame
and applause
for a challenge
